My journey began in Texarkana, where I honed my skills as a Registered Nurse at Wadley Regional Medical Center, dedicating 32 years to healthcare. In 2010, I ventured into a new chapter of my life, relocating to Fort Worth, Texas, to become an Independent Insurance Agent and earn certification as a Long-Term Care Specialist. This transition allowed me to combine my healthcare expertise with financial savvy.

As the CEO of Shoals Legacy Agency and an Associate with Legal Shield Small Business Solutions, I've been able to leverage my experience to develop strategies that empower individuals, families, and small business owners to improve their financial well-being and plan for the future. Financial education is at the heart of my approach, believing that it is the key to a prosperous future.

In addition to my professional pursuits, I hold the title of Certified Faith Community Nurse, reflecting my commitment to holistic well-being.

I am also a proud parent to Kellye Courtney, a Prairie View graduate and Mechanical Engineer, and Klayton Shoals, a Baylor graduate and Co-owner of Shoals Body Shop in Texarkana. My cherished role as "Nana" to my grandchildren, Marley, Qwest, Ashton, and Sydney, brings boundless joy to my life.

Beyond my professional and family life, I have a few passions I indulge in. I'm an avid reader, an enthusiastic traveler, and I've developed a love for the exhilarating experience of zip-lining.

Now, I reside in Texarkana, Texas, where I continue to work diligently toward my mission.
